Copper Quarter???

    Hi All,
    Anyone ever see this before? I just got it in change. Looks like a Copper Quarter !!

    Im new to coins but i think they are made from two layers of cupronickel( 75% copper and 25% nickel ) pressed together but you might be better off waiting for a expert to be sure

    I agree! It looks like environmental damage to me, too.

    FWIW: An exposed copper layer should change color much like a copper cent.
