Do you guys think that anyone will ever be buying copper pennies for more than face value? I have acquired 20000 copper pennies and was wondering if you thought they are worth holding on to.
More often than not you break even or even lose money selling them on ebay after you pay fees and stuff. IMO it's not worth the effort.
The time it takes to sort it out, put it on the 'bay, wait to sell it, get my money, ship it out, etc... isn't worth it to me. It's not like copper pennies are rare or anything. If I really wanted some I would go to the bank, buy a brick, and sort it. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I used to prefer copper until I realized that $25 worth of copper takes up a ton of space compared to a nice little silver ASE
Ya I like the early dates that are unc. They look super nice. My goal is to assemble a 1859-2033 (Hopefully completed by then) set of MS64RD Pennies. I want to try and do it by buying, selling and trading with what I have now . Its going to be a hard challenge.
