I average between 3 or 4 boxes of pennies a week. I pull out all of the Wheats, Bicentennial Lincoln's, and Canadian's. Wondering if it's worth it to start saving the pre-82 copper's? Hearing "pro's & con's" about them and their value. Just looking for some advice. Sorry if this is in the wrong Forum. Thanks.
Yes, save them. You can't really go wrong getting them for face. If worse comes to worse, you can always dump them back for what you paid.
I sell them on eBay. Not legal to melt them right now so your only two choices are horde or sell right now.
Every pre-1982 is worth about 2.2c per. I have been saving them from searches since 2006 and have probably a hundred or more gallons of them.
