I have 2 Rosevelt dimes,1 New York quarter, both sides look copper, thinner than other coins I have. I work with money all day, cool advantage.should I have these looked at????
Welcome to CT! Can you post good close up photos of these coins. front and back sides are needed of each. these could be missing the clad layer exposing the copper core of the coin, if so the should be looked at to determine they are an actual error coin or not.
The copper layer that shows on the edge of the coin varies by coin. Most likely you have your everyday $.45
You mean like this? Mine's a 1971-D, how about it you post some pics? Also mine weighs 4.7 grams, I forget what a regular clad quarter weighs but it's a bit less! If you weigh your coin, whether it's a dime or quarter it will weigh less if it's the real deal!!
