Pretty sweet obverse die clash on this JFK half. A die clash occurs when the dies accidentally strike each other and make direct without a planchet in the chamber. What can result is that designs from one die get rammed and transferred into the other. This explains why you see portions of the reverse struck into the obverse of this coin surrounding JFKs head. Not sure why sometimes the other side has no visible markings, as is the case with the reverse. Picked this up for under $8!
