I found this American Numismatic Society database search engine while surfing around for an obscure German medieval coin I bought.
It's great because you can search by inscription,up to 4 different words, persons or mints on obverse or reverse, metal, date, weight, denomination and country or region minted.:thumb:
I'm sure Doug will come along and tell me it's already listed in the "numismatic resources" section of the forum but if not...maybe it could be added?

Cool!---I hadn't ever seen that!...looks like it will help with some coins that I don't know where they came from!

    Thanks Mikjo,

I already have a couple of coins I plan to look up with the database!
