Someone pointed out to me that I had 1000 posts when I had 999... anyway, I decided to have a lame contest for that. There are no rules for the contest. No minimum qualification, etc. Just post in the thread that you enter. Now, the prize is a used 2008 Red Book. I ordered it off Amazon to figure something out for data purposes. Once I've gotten my use out of it, I'll send it to the winner of the contest. Since there are no rules and no way of qualifying, I guess it will be open until I figure out how to pick a winner. If you have any ideas, I'll be gladly open to suggestions. I'll probably send the book out this summer to the winner.
Simple, write entries on a small piece of paper. Place them in a hat. Close your eyes, draw one out. Winner ! edit - and no I am not entering.
Ah c'mon Doug. I know ya need a copy....... Entered. In the unlikely event that I'm picked to win I'd like to donate the prize to an YN of my choosing (who is entered in this contest...if that's OK with NK).
Man i can get a hardcover 2008 Not used redbook for 50 cents at my local book shop. Not worth shipping costs or anything basically.
I wish you told me that BEFORE I bought the book off Amazon! And, yes, whoever "wins" can transfer ownership to anyone else within the US. I'm sending the prize media mail, so that kinda cuts down on the shipping costs.
Korea, Most of us thank you for your generosity. Most of us are not spoiled children who think we know way more than we do and do not appreciate kind gestures from others, and embarrass ourselves at every opportuntiy without realizing it. Thanks for the contest!
I was being serious, though. I have 2, 3, 5, 6*, 8, 10, 11, 13 entered in the contest. From now on, please say you're entered in the post. I realize it's a dinky prize, but we must have organization.
Well than take your ungrateful attitude and move on.....But its worth more than any of contest prizes! Entered And like Mr.Green I will forward the prize to a YN or new collector.
Entered Thanks for the contest Korea. Price of the book is no matter, it is about the fun of the contest, which is why there are contests. Thanks again!
