Just Max got them all correct, a bunch of folks got one wrong. There were some interesting answers that gave us a chuckle. I hope you had fun and learned a bit about this state that I call home.

As we all know, you can't believe everything you see on the internet. Numerous different sources might have different answers. Even the MN DNR site has a two conflicting numbers for species.http://www.dnr.mn.gov/young_naturalists/fishing/answers.html

The 158 number came up numerous times, unfortunately it is wrong.

I've learned a lot while searching for the answers for this contest, now I told my dad (who likes fishing pretty much) that he should consider moving to Minnesota at the time of his retreat! :goofer:

I had 158 also...They must have found a few new ones since they posted that total.

 

BTW, I'm curious how the contests work. Does a member put up the prizes? Or does the board have a fund for that sort of thing? I think it's cool that you guys give out nice prizes like that.

 

Members put up the prizes for there own contests. And yes, we do have some generous members here.
