Just opened this in the mail today :) Its not spectacular, but for its size (15.2mm) it has pretty nice detail compared to some of the others of similar size I have seen which seem a little crude. It also has a nice, glossy, dark green patina. It was listed and ANA, but its AN Epsilon, and I haven't found anything yet to confirm the references. Got my 4th book (not counting catalogs) along with it too :D Well not a book, and article/pamphlet "FEL TEMP REPARATO," by Harold Mattingly ( 23 pages with 2 plates)

"An article originally published in Numismatic Chronicle,1933, pp. 182-201, and plates xvii and xviii. Mattingly discusses his ideas about the various coins of the FEL TEMP REPARATIO series of the late 340s and early 350s."

I'll start with the note that the RIC number is not right and ask you review the Mattingly when you get time and tell us what you learned from it. I have to go now but will try to add more tomorrow if no one else finds it.

Will do. I'll peak through it tonight, but give it a more thorough read this weekend, after I get my school work done for the week.

I really like the patina on this one Randy, very nice, and great detail for such a small coin! Especially the detail on the reverse, very nice coin!

I think this one comes down to whether the horseman is reaching or clutching.

As far as I can make out it is the reverse legend break. 153 breaks TEMP RE-PARATIO and 187A breaks TEMP - REPARATIO.
    Regards,

Nice fel temp coin, I like the color and the desert patina. Its one of the better reduced sized fel temps I've seen IMO.
