I have a set of 4 of the new and the previous $20 notes, there are not star notes, just unc and in order. Is there any value to them or can I use them. Personally, I have no interest in them, I was just wondering If i don't know of any value attached to them.

Maybe the previous ones would be worth hanging onto but I could be wrong. Check ebay and see if they are selling or maybe see if anyone on the forum wants them. I doubt they would sell, especially since it is a lot of money for new common notes. Post it in the open forum for a week, if no one wants then just spend em

    Spider,

Could you list ALL of the serial numbers please (including front and back letters)? Not sure what you have really but numbers would help.

    Nothing rare Spider,

I would keep a consecutive pair of each if affordable. They'll move up eventually.
If not able to do so I'd try and keep one of each.

If that's not feasible I'd spend them at face value.

Get them from an ATM by chance?

nope, got them from Aldi. I would think these pairs are popular and not at all hard to obtain. I think I will spend them.

    Roger.., what series?

If they are brand new, then they currently have no value and for the next several decades, a savings account would give you a better rate of return than those notes will.

Hence, you will keep hearing the advice, collect what you enjoy, not for profit.

If those notes are pre-1996, then you have something, but a savings account will still give you a better rate of return. the only way you could realize a profit on those now is if you sell direct to a collector. Dealers will still only pay face value due to low demand.

If the notes are from the 70's or older, then you have an awesome find and I would definitely keep them.
