First time I ever found consecutive notes on a large denomination. Probably not going to keep them - they're to pay for my textbooks this semester! Let me know if they're worth saving from the bookstore. ID 14341363 A ID 14341364 A Also, I'm tempted to start collecting currency - its so easy to scan! :hail: *But the files are too large! Lol.
reduce the scanning DPI to around 72, will cut the file size dramaticaly! as for the notes, we kinda need to know series date
on all notes, or just $50's? they never used H or I in previous series? i thought only O was excluded... and a long tome ago I as well ( i think)
Slightly out of date, but check out the "Know Your Money" Poster here http://www.ustreas.gov/usss/kym_3_06.pdf alternate link http://www.secretservice.gov/kym_3_06.pdf everyone should have it hanging in both their office and by the cash register. A = 1996 B = 1999 C = 2001 D = 2003 E = 2004 F = 2003A G = 2004A Numbers also identifies the series letter in his tables on his website too. http://www.uspapermoney.info
:thumb: thanks. I knew they were using a letter for different series, but was always getting confused about which letter was meant for which! I printed off a couple copies for my refference!
They don't show it, but H is 2006 for old style bills. I is 2006 for new style bills. The $5 bill will have an old style 2006 and a new style 2006.
If you like the notes, then by all means keep them. I would say that it is not worth the trouble to sell them for a few $$ over face..postage would consume that easily. RickieB
