I received my Errorscope Magazine today. Your article is in it. Errorscope mentioned you were a member of Coin Talk. Congratulation and good luck in your Variety and Errors search.

What was the offense that got the edited deleted?

Thanks, Speedy. But that wasn't exactly my question.

I asked my question because we cannot see what offensive material was deleted. All we see on this end is the word edited. We have no idea whether the offensive material was a "bad word", a link, a sentence, a paragraph or an entire page of words. For all we know it could have been an offensive photo. Or a pdf.

I take it from your answer that the offensive material was copyrighted material. Since Brennn10 is the author of the copyrighted material can someone post this material with his permission?

Hobo, i dont know if this shows for you, but at the very bottom of that post, it says this:

as for if the author of the article can give permission i dont know, didnt the magazine buy the article, and if so, they own it. if not, im not sure as the copywrite world is beyond me. which is why i so frequently disobey it :D

CONECA gave me a PDF of what my article would look like in the newsletter. I don't know CONECA's copyright policy, so I am guessing it is better to be safe than sorry.

Yep. I see it. It was there all along and I didn't notice it. Now I know where to look for the reason when something is removed by a mod. I learn something every day.

Oh no, don't apologize, if I made up copyright rules, that would be up there in a heartbeat!

In most cases when a Mag. prints the article that means it is theirs. I haven't researched CONECA's rules, and I need too since they printed my article too, but I would guess it is the same as others. Some Mag's pay around 5cents per word for articles, and some pay nothing.

The reason I deleted it gang was because it was an actual copy ( a scan ) of the magazine itself. That's a big no-no.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the clarification.
