    i have a silver ducat 1752 but the pictures do not match the silver ducat it matches the gold ducat .... i was wondering if u know any sites i can go on to find out about this coin and how much it would b worth as i have no idea on coins at all ... thanx always confuzzled

    Please post pictures of both sides of your coin. We have several members with expertise in that area who could probably overload you with information upon seeing a picture.

    If you can't provide pictures, please tell us
    • which of the several countries using that denomination in the 18th Century issued your coin
    • what legends and devices appear on each side
    • what it weighs in grams
    • it's diameter in mm

    Howdy confuzzled - Welcome to the Forum !!

    This is just a guess, but I suspect that what you have is a reproduction of the 1752 Austrian ducat. Quite a few years ago Reader's Digest gave away copies of this coin that were plated to look like the genuine gold coin. Yours in all probability is an example where the plating has been removed or worn off.
