I found a few coins that were odd to say the least, I call them my Misfits. I know what a few of them are but a few I don't. I have a 1995 quarter with no clad on both sides, easy one. I have a wheat penny back that is hollow, and I think was used during WWII to keep secret messages r sumthing, not bad. I have a 1975 nickel (very poor grade) that looks like it was stamped on a dime however it isn't a clad dime and it doesn't really seem like silver. I have a penny that well...you'll have to see it, its easy to say sumbody crushed it but it isn't that flat, and the most perplexing of all I have a 1991 Quarter with an M or N mintmark. Anybody got a clue what any of these actually are? And they are not fake I'm fairly positive about that
You need to post the photos individually, cant see any details with your collage. The quarter is most likely environmental damage.
that nickel is interesting @Rick Stachowski but I'm sure we would need to see closer, individual pictures and one also of the edge. FYI, posting pics like that doesn't really help, except your *initial* time. We'll all want to see more up close detailed pics, and you'll have to spend more time to provide them to give us a better understanding of what you actually have.
Here's a check list . http://libertycoinservice.com/wp-co...s-checklist-foreign-coins-by-us-mint-type.pdf
Well let's start with the nickel then, I took a few with a normal nickel 4 comparison. Now I know they may look blurry but it's the coin, it looks blurry with the naked eye also. I'm not the best camera ph operator and this coin doesn't have much detail to capture, so any suggestions on photo shoot options will be considered.
I think it's just an illusion, My phone is having trouble with the lack of detail in the blurry coin, it actually looks like numbers wrote on 1 picture guess that is the phone trying to fill in the blanks it can't focus on or some shit like that???
That sounds fairly feesable, but wouldn't acid leave it uneven and full of pit marks? Or a odd color or some kind of scale or something? I found them at some guy's dads house that had died, I also found a quarter that was blank on 1 side and a "slave tag" (never could confirm it's authenticity) but somebody stole em. He was either an avid coin collector and civil war historian or a con man and a racist....
Nope because the acid attacks all the surfaces evenly. The 1991 quarter looks like die chipping around the mintmark. The wheat cent with the front hollowed out is half a "magician's" coin. Either intended to have a cut down dime put there, or a cut down cent to make a two tailed coin.
They're all damaged/chemically treated, except the 1991-D Quarter. Can't tell if the MM has been damaged/flattened, but that's probably what it is . None of the other coins in the OP's post are error coins.
Ok guys I'll admit it those coins were junk, I just wanted to make sure I got. a few knowledgable replys before I asked about the coin I'm really interested in. It took me hours! But I think I got you guys some good shots, there is Alot of picture's but there is also Alot of material to cover. So please feel free to make me feel like an idiot.
What exactly are you asking for or trying to point out? Are you trying to find out if you have a Cheerios dollar? If so please post a picture of the tail feathers and that should help us figure it out relatively pretty quickly.
It's all hits that your brain is trying to force order on... pareidolia. Oh, except for the machine doubling on In God We Trust

You dont see the L in Liberty or the N in IN? Alot of the pictures are die marks there is alot of them. Just slow down and look expert! There is alot of doubling and on both sides I'll show you the doubling on the check when I sale it
I am sure you have pointed it all out. So you have DDD, MD, PMD and some die markers that are indeed markers. But, this coin is not a valuable coin, it is worth face value.
