    Hello all,
I am getting confused about what is considered a wide am and a close am with Lincoln cents. I've searched the forum and I think I know what a wide AM looks like now, but I'm still unsure about a close AM. Here's a 2008 I got in change, the A and M look like they are almost touching and there's a space between the M and E... Is this a close AM? I googled it and this is what some people call a close AM. I'm a little suspicious because I see this quite often when checking my change. Thanks in advance for the help.

best site: www.Lincolncentresource.com has everything you will need. You are correct the the 2008 cent is a closed AM however the years that you should be looking for a Wide AM is 1998,1999, and 2000.

    Shoewrecky,
Thank you, that site is exactly what I was looking for! I've found that being a new collector, Lincoln cent varieties can get confusing at times.
    Thanks again!
