Going thru my nickel rolls I found my first Swiss coin. A 1975 in pretty good shape. I looked it up and it's worth a little under $1.00. Not bad for a nickel.

I would take as many of those as I could get for five cents each.

 

As I remember it, these coins contain a lot of nickel and are hard as iron. They don't show much wear in circulation, even after a number of years.

 

Nice design. Sort of old school for something minted in the 70s. I like it.

These coins have had the same design since the 1880s. The same is true for every denomination.

 

Well, I guess they've saved a lot of money on design work.

 

About 20 years ago I was working at a convenience store and found a 1938 10 Rappen in the register.

 

Sweet
