Hello Friends, here is one of Bills I brought that is nice condition.

Is this worth grading. I brought it from a shop with 40 years in business. I checked online for the fake or duplicated serial numbers. Its not on the list,Thank GOD...

I had never touched money like this before, and was amazed at how THIN the paper is.

The Bill is cut also in a way that cuts out the bottom half where it should say something about the signer on the right hand side.Is this detail missing ADD to the value of the Confedrate money. Is this a common Error? There are no tears ...crispy except a couple of spots on the back.

The signatures appear to be done before the printing of the paper so they appear to be underneath the reddish Print and somtimes seeping uptop
.Is this something not common? All the other paper money shows the Signatures on top of the overall Print.

Is this worth grading and what is it worth?

    God Bless
    Beck

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I may be mistaken, but I believe they were hand cut.

You have 2 common bills which were hand cut. Neither is worth grading. The bill with the cannons being pulled is worth less than $40.00 due to the cutting into the lower right portrait. The $20.00 note is not an error but normal for the series. The A, B, C letters are from the printer, similar to what we have today.

I just paid $1600.00 for the $20.00 double ratification error at that is $350.00 below book price. It was professionally graded and worth it.

Collecting Confederate notes is interesting to say the very least. I'm personally fascinated with them. I have a few, 2 of which are error notes. All are professionally graded. When purchasing them you must watch for the cutting of the bill, pinholes, folds, creases and stains, all of which lower the value.

One of the notes I have is a Radar note in a 5 digit hand numbered serial number. Another has the lowest known serial number to exist for that series. This increases the value of the note, as does it's condition.

Collecting Paper Money is entirely different form collecting coins. Collecting Confederate Notes, is an entirely different ball game.

    Best wishes

I agree your note is one of the most common Confederate notes, I would think worth around thirty dollars or so. A great collectable but not worth grading.
