    That coin is fake. It looks like it came from the Shanghai mint, or, at best, it's an older replica, likely from the 1960s.

    Those blurry pics are a big red flag for me, especially considering the price.

    There are 4 known examples of this coin struck by the Confederacy, 500 restrikes from 1879, and a ton of Chinese fakes and replicas. There is no way this is a genuine coin.

    Those pics are horrible, but to bid on such a coin, without proper confirmation, would be most assuredly a fools errand.

    Some die characteristics of the originals on the shield are different on this one. This example matches modern replicas. They sell them here in Virginia at many historical sites.
