How many of you belong to CONECA? I've been kicking it around for years on joining or not? Is it worth the $25?

I joined this year. James Wiles is quite busy and I haven't followed through to have a couple "new" Jefferson RPM's documented.

The site is a great resource and I hope it continues to stay updated.

Thanks for the reply. I myself have several Jefferson RPMs and OMM that I was thinking of sending in.
Every time I thought about joining I've decided to use the money for coins instead!

James Wiles is no longer doing attributions. Mike Ellis has taken over attributing known die varieties. I am a board member of CONECA, so obviously I have some bias in favor of the organization. But honestly, if you collect errors and varieties, you can learn a lot and save a lot of money by joining. I would also recommend getting back issues of Errorscope to at least the beginning of 1999. There's a lot that's been published in Errorscope that you won't find in any standard reference.

I believe I will be getting a membership as a gift this year. How would I go about getting back issues of errorscope? I am only interested in Jeffersons do I need to seperatly join the Full Step Jefferson Nickel Club or is this part of CONECA membership?

    Thanks

I've been thinking about sending in for this club so I could learn alittle bit more about errors....I'm sure the Mag is a good one....

Mike, in this post you said James Wiles is not longer doing attributions, and Mike Ellis is taking over. I was under the impression that James was just taking some time off to write some new books and move into a new house. I have a couple of Kennedy varieties that I think would be new listings, who would I send them to...the web site says James Wiles at his old address and e-mail?

    Thanks

You are correct. James is on a long and open-ended hiatus as he concentrates on writing his books. You could e-mail Mike Ellis and see if there is any place to send potentially new die varieties. gmmmike@arkansas.net

    Hi,
I think that John Wexler is doing attributions on coins from cents to quarters and John Bordner is doing halves.
Don't quote me 100% but I think these folks are still doing it. I'm not sure if the attributions are for CONECA, but they have excellent files of varieties.

CONECA is a wonderful group of error collectors and while I have let my membership lapse, I recommend it to any serious error collector.
