Hi Everyone, Can anyone shed some light on the type, age, origin, worth of this, what I think is a token/conder. It measures 1 inch in diameter. There are no words or numbers - just images. Thank you
I don't believe that is a Conder, all the ones I've seen are struck, though I could be wrong. That looks like it has been engraved, like a Hobo nickel. It's a beautiful piece of art, but finding out who, why, or where may be quite difficult, especially with no date on the piece. It's very cool though, thanks for sharing
Hello B12, It belonged to my late grandfather who kept it with a number of other old coins and conders. Do you know anything about it? Best wishes, bumblebug
I dont know anything about this token but it is rather lovely and was wondering if it could possibly be European in origin? I am fairly sure that I have seen something similar once before but for the life of me can not remember where or when (Sorry) De Orc Ps is there some sort of wording on the paper that the young girl is reading??
OK. No,I don't know anything about it. Wish I did. It could be old. I would keep it. Plus it's very interesting and abnormal. I hope you get information. B12
Definitely looks engraved. Its always hard to tell from photos, but it looks like its seen some printers ink at some time too. Perhaps it was part of an old hand stamp for letters, invites and such.
