Completed my second US coin set

Just want to share with you my achievement...... I have completed my second US coin set.

A State Quarter Series P & D (100 coins)... it took a long time but now when I look at all these beautiful designs... it was worth it. :jumping-jack:

Thanks guys, I have been collecting US coins since 2006 and I didn't finish any till the last couple of months. My first set to be completed was the Kennedy half and the State Quarter Series is the second one.

I am still working on; Jefferson Nickle, Roosevelt Dime and Lincoln cent sets.

Maybe you would consider moving it into a Dansco, I like how it is high quality, you can see both sides of the coins, and they are protected from finger prints.

 

Im not implying that you are not done your goal and comngrats but now that u have p and d why dont u consider getting all the proofs. And then possibly silver proofs

Well i wish, but we dont have any of these in Egypt :smile

 

I was working on five US coin sets, i manged to complete 2 and still 3 to be completed. May be when i complete all of them i will start to upgrade the coins and expand the sets to include proofs especially that i already have a 2006 proof set ;smile

How were you able to complete the US sets? Did you have to rely on online purchases or do you see a fair amount of US currency in Eqypt? I am curious.

US coins are not legal to be used in Egypt.... you cannot buy anything with them and they are not accepted buy the bank... US paper money are the only acceptable currency and they have to be of recent issues... i think old issues will be also rejected.

I add coins to my collection through trades and sometimes i get gifts from my US friends and i would like to thank flyers10 for giving me a very good start to my US collection

It is a difficult job, i sometimes wait for months to add to my collection but i love US coins and it is worth waiting for
