Hello this is a follow up to my original post. There seems to bee some debate about this "experimental rinse" the mint supposedly did on this coin. I came across another one of these coins from a change meter the other day and have placed them side by side for comparison. There seems to be a definit different in tone or color to these two coins. I am wondering if this is one of these are the so called "experimental rinse" coins? Your opinions on this would be great! It is interesting to me to say the least! I have attached a link to a website I came across about this minted coin. Please take a look. Thanks! http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/add002.html
I think you'd really have to send it in to a TPG to get an answer. The pics are simply not that clear, jmho. I think I have one as well that I will have to send in too. This pic is of my Toned Sac, not trying to steal your thunder but I like to showoff, if nothing else at least I bump you up.
Thanks for the comment fretboard! You have a nice looking coin there on your hands! I'm glad to finaly get some backing on this coin! I really believe there is something to this "experimental rinse" that is worth looking into. It's just pretty tough to present the coin to some collectors because they won't even give it a second look. I'm a rookie coin collector and I'm trying to research and read all I can! Are you sending your coin in soon?
Yeah, I will send it in but I want one more coin person to look at it. I'll have to find it first though, dang coin I don't know where it's at but I'll find it. Anyways, here's a few more pics of that toned Sac! Hey gang, how much should I sell it for, anyone have an idea? :thumb:
