    Hi,

Trying to ID a few communion tokens or lead tokens I've acquired:

    1801-Glasgow.jpg
    BP.jpg
    KI-1.jpg
    L.jpg
    TM.jpg

The first one is possibly from around Glasgow, being square but is perhaps too large at 26mm across. The date is 1801 and I think the initials in the centre are MR (Minister?) J.B. Around the edge of the inner circle, A is on the left, O/C/Co above and possibly O or G to the right. Hard to be sure.

The others are just initials as you can see. B.P is 19mm, K.I is 19mm, L is 15mm, TM is 21mm. They could just be lead/hop tokens but they came with a bunch of other tokens, all communion tokens.

I surmised that the 1 stamped on the back of the K.I token could be a table number?

    CTs

First one is B216 known as Ayr square (single circle in center), used by Assoc Church in Ayr -- this one from Galston; second one is B963 from Bunkle-Preston in Berwick; DK 3rd one; fourth one is difficult as do not know size, but Burz lists several single L squares; last one is R/TM B5804 from Rosehall in Sutherland. If you like CTs, go to Collect Communion Tokens blogspot. Mike

It is a great help when trying to ID a token if you measure it i mm or 16th of an inch. This let you determine where some tokens are from if the have only a letter on them.
