I called a coinstore close to me and they had a 1893 Columbian Expo Halve that was cleaned for 17.50. Should I get it? I cant use Ebay. I dont care about grading even if it is cleaned. Also, can people post pictures of their Columbian Expo Halves? Thanks!
I don't know why you're opposed to ebay, but that seems like an OK price I guess. It'd be nice to know the grade, cleaned or not. Here they are on mintproducts.com if you'd rather go that route: http://www.mintproducts.com/1892-co...rative-half-dollars-two-grades-available.html
Thats an okay price. I usually only buy them for scrap.. I bought 4 for $10.50 each when silver was about 21X face. I would wait a little bit, but if you'd really want one, go for it. I understand your situtation, have your parent set up an eBay account for you or make one regardless
Seems like it might be a fair price. Checking on completed e-bay listings you're right in the neighborhood. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCGS-1893-C...67?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3f1af8eaab
It all depends on the look of the coin, If it has ugly hairlines from a harsh cleaning I'd look elsewhere. Nice circulated ones aren't hard to find at that price. These I picked up on the bay together for one price of 32 bucks.
