Colonial Spain, Ferdinand VI, 2 Escudos 1754, Bogota mint

    Was just shown this by someone who had received this through heritage but had no provenance and knew nothing about coins. Neither do i know much about this category. But i was able to say that this looks like a colonial 2 Escudo piece minted under the rule of Ferdinand VI of Spain at Bogota mint. Also had to tell that there lots of fakes of these around and this may look to good to be true. Weight is 6.7 gr, 21 mm.
    Probably this and some others will go for expert evaluation soon.

    One thing you said, that it came from "Heritage Auctions"/ makes me think its 100 percent geniune. They scrutinize all
    their consigned material/ thru a vast array of experts.

    No not Heritage Auctions, but heritage in the meaning of passed on through the family. An auction record would make things a lot easier.
