I am interested in finding/ buying my first error coin. I have a $30 budget I enjoy pennies, I love 'em I would love to find an error with some character. I really really love copper pennies (<1982) Any suggestions on what type of error pennies I should be searching for?
Go with off-centered pennies. These have a cool look and run cheap (about 10 dollars or less) I have about 6 or 7 myself that I bought at a local coin store.
As Skyler said, off-center strikes are an inexpensive yet dramatic error. This is a variety, but you can also pick up graded 1995 doubled dies for close to 30 bucks in the MS65 or even 66 grades.
