    Hello,

I am finding everyone collects something different with coins.
Some collect a year, proof sets, just dollars, or anyway they think
    is good.....

Does anyone collect a "set" or know when you have the last coin to finish? I collect "VF" in just about everything US pre WWII. I'm having a hard time getting one set done and moving on. I would like to hear some
ideas on how people collect. What goals do you use to call it "done"? What do you have when your finished?

    Thanks, Brent Kleiser

One (or more) of each type or design of non-U.S. coins 1800-present in best affordable condition. No, I can't see an end to that tunnel!

My first set was ..Lincoln..1909 . 1958,second set where Walkers, both sets are long gone..I am now working on a BU/Gem BU set of Mercurys,I lack 7 coins for a full set.Im also working on a Bust Half collection.
    I think im addicted:)..Brent,what are you working on?.A;

    Wow,
The grade you are after in the mercurys sound interesting. A full
set sure would look good when your done. I've have about 10 left in
a all VF set of Indian Head Cents. I put them in a frame, placed them
in 2x2 holders, then hung it on the wall... All 56 slots. I found that better than putting them in a book and keeping it in the closet when I could not see them all the time.
VF is a bit easier to find than BU. Where can you find the 7 more you
want? How do you store your coins? I'm having a hard time finding
clean very fine coins. Any ideas?

Wish I could help you out on your VF Indians, as far as resourses..Have you tryed your local coin shops?..VF & XF's should be easey to locate.
All my coins are in PCGS holders, and stored in a safe deposit box..LOL.A large one:)..I wish I could display them at home as you do..much more enjoyment im sure..
Brent, you may try Ebay,if you havent already done so.Al

    Coinsareus10,
Most VF's and XF's are easy to find at my local shops. Two of the five
only know what the are selling. They coins and can find are only the common dates which I have. When I try to purchase a key date, it's
not out there(local). I've been looking at E-bay, but I just not brave enough to buy one. It's hard to see what the coin is. When it's a 200 or
300 hundred dollar coin it is "bumped" up a grade. I'm not sure. Can you find a deal? What is the trick on E-bay to get a deal? Have you seen a
coin go for a lot less than it's true value and when you have it in your hand are you happy with what you got? Sure, I would buy a XF for VF money, If I can find it.
    Thanks for your help, Brent

You're wise to be afraid of buying key coins on eBay. If it were in a PCGS or NGC you can feel a bit better. Sight unseen is just too risky for a high dollar purchase.
