Wonder if they didn't have a Batt. backup running or what? Ours holds up the server for awhile and has a high beep to it...

Most servers do have battery backups on them. I know all of my clients have them and its not a high beep its a very annoying LOUD noise that makes dogs howl.

Hope it's going smooth. Just got an email from an ebay member that has been trying to sign up

I think he'll fit right in as one of his auctions was posted here for being a GOOD auction.

Well....the neighbors really aren't hog wild about us--so I'll leave the LOUD noise with you ;)

No, it was just Coin Talk's server that got unplugged. The data center does have backup power, but each individual server doesn't.

LoL, maybe. Or, someone announced "Free donuts in the lunch room" and it got bumped in the stampede. Actually, all they told me was that it got unplugged. Dunno why really, but it happens again and I'll be a very unhappy customer.

I can understand that. I'll bet it's a bigger inconvenience to you than it is to us.

It seems as tho everytime that I try to post a picture it goes down!
    Perhaps it is me?

Sorry, but it is me. Both times I discovered the problem because I hit "submit reply" and it did not go. Wish me luck this time.

I would think that they would learn to run it where people do not trip over it.

They must use the same maintenance people that we do. We have had servers bounce like yo-yo's because cables were only 1/2 way plugged in, crimped, etc. And we have had systems go down because some tripped over a power cord. Just glad to see it back up.

Does it have any Microsoft products installed on it ? That's been known to cause problems... :kewl:
