    Round 6...

I'll only rank those who played in the last round.

    Dropped score after every 16th.
    Dropped scores this week. Nobody:hail:
A couple or few will drop after this round.

Gotta have at least 10 graded to rank.

Rankings (points reflect average grades off tpg grades):
GOLD - Duke - .84 > oh no... don't let him get too comfy here folks.
    SILVER - Raider - .95
    BRONZE - Lehigh - 1.05
    and now the Pack:
    4th - RLM's - 1.11
    5th - BadThad / bigjpst - 1.16
6th - BQcoints - 1.20 > dropped score to play in next weeks rankings
7th - Swish - 1.33 > dropped score to play in next weeks rankings
8th - Chip - 2.45 > dropped score to play in next weeks rankings
... will be interesting to see how the rankings fall next week, with everyone at 1 drop each.

    Anyone felling Antcy ?

TPG's this round (all old small holders):
    ANACS - 1944
    ANACS - 1938D
    ANACS - 1939D
    ANACS - 1927S

BTW, First place is not that comfy with any lead. Look at the Cent one I led forever and blew it in the end with those 3rd world holders :(
It's scary at the top ;)

hehe,,,, that evolution is coming also. I was debating on what to do with them and whether or not to include,,, the more I look at them, the more I feel they are closely graded. (or I wouldn't have got them). Around 6-10 years ago I targeted 2nd tier exclusively, loved the discount, and I found some that I consider to be correctly or undergraded coins in many of them. Not sure exactly how it affected you, but most of the misses on 2nd tier graders in the cents round were by far over-estimates of the grade,,, I think if you just gave those your honest opinion and didn't add anything to them (except where I advised it) you'd probably have come very close... Anyway, those 2nd tier opportunities have long left the market imo,,, a few around, but not nearly as many. Now I'm exclusive to the big three, and occassionally will dabble in the others just to see what's there and if there are opportunities,,, anyway, I could go on regarding this subject,,, but will leave it to another thread at a later date.
Short stick here and now,,,, get ready for a SEGS' round, and a PCI round sometime in the future.... probably sooner rather than later, so we can finish this exercise off on a purists note.

BTW,, just in case anyone is wondering how many we'll be looking at total.

    After this round:
    40% complete - 24 coins
    60% to go - 35 more coins

    Cheers.

1944 wq, I pick ms-66, I was leaning towards the ms 65 but I think that the marks on the eagles legs are probably less noticable in hand. I have heard that anacs was pretty strict on grading in their early days, but I will stick with 66.

The 38d walker seems to me to be pretty solidly between a 30 and a 40, I would probably call it a 35, I will guess that they called it a 40.

the nickel I will guess is a 65, seems to fit the description from the ana grading book, especially the reverse.

I agree with those who say the 27s peace dollar has been dipped, and also not rinsed too well, still I will say that it was graded ms-64.

ha,,, yeah,, up to the point we score the submissions you can revise any submitted grade,,, that way the folks going first are not at a disadvantage....... and they may even play thier competition a bit if they desire (but at thier risk,, lest the wood ducks on the pond be graded before the real ones are submitted) ;)

Grades will be done tomorrow for round 6,, round 7 posted shortly after.
