Seems like spammers, or whatever you call them, are starting to misuse this sight.

Its actually nothing new. But as Frank said, they get deleted quickly, so quite often only a few members here have to see the annoying spam.

You see a posting, ususally from someone with only one posting and a link, usually for Viagara, or someother related material.

Spam is a processed canned ham product that in my opinion is quite horrible, but I guess if there was no other food to be had it would quite the delicacy.

When you see a SPAM note please click on the RED TRIANGLE in the right hand corner of the post that is SPAM---and send a note to all of the Mod's telling us about it.
That is the best thing that can be done.

Thanks for helping keep CoinTalk Clean!!

" . . . please click on the RED TRIANGLE in the right hand corner of the post . . ."
I did that the other day. I only put the word "spammer" in the message. Then I started wondering if the triangle click captured all the relavent data -- forum, topic, post, username, etc. Do we need anything else in the message?

In fact, you don't even need to put anything... just report it (especially the Viagra posts). Ideally, people wouldn't reply either as that just makes it harder sometimes to clean up.

It isn't that sort of spam we're talking about. It is about junk postings & junk emails that we are referring to.

Danr, some of them also contain adware & spyware, which can make your computer system crash so much that you'd have a ready hard job cleaning the system.
