I received the latest issue of Error Scope (CONECA's bimonthly magazine) today. I opened the magazine and the first article - with large photos that I instantly recognized - was about a 1999 double-denomination Georgia Statehood Quarter struck on a nickel. This coin was discussed at length on CoinTalk here: http://www.cointalk.com/t194636/ Congratulations to CharlesNC for having his super cool find featured in Error Scope!!!
He was selling it on eBay, wonder if he got any decent "Make Offers" to learn a ballpark value of it.
I JUST noticed this thread. Thank you all. It was an amazing find, and I certainly didn't expect to be offered $5,500 for it. I couldn't really turn that down.
