Did you know CoinTalk has a forum for selling coins? https://www.cointalk.com/forums/for-sale/ Members who want to sell coins ofter them there. The thread titles usually make it easy to distinguish the offerings of ancient coins. For a year I aways went straight to this "ancient coins" forum and didn't notice that ancient coins were being sold elsewhere on CoinTalk.
I saw that forum, but how do you find the ancients between all the modern coins? Can you search it apart from the rest of Cointalk?
Ya it's all together like @green18 said. I just hit the "New Posts" at the top and seldom miss a thread.
I see, but I'm new here. Aren't there any older posts for trading ancient coins? How do you find them?
You can search in a specific forum, just go into the forum you want to search and when you click the search, make sure the search this forum only box is checked off, and that's all there is to it.
Well excellent! I hadn't seen that box. Now there doesn't seem to be much activity in the Trading Ancient coin line. I want to keep my collection small by trimming, concentrating and improving. Now if some of you have some really nice doubles... would that work? With me in Europe and most of you in the States? Two VF denarii for one EF, 14 AE coins of this dynasty for one nice drachm of another?
I would start my for sale thread " ANCIENTS for SALE" and then continue if you want to draw the attention for ancients. " My Coins for sale" doesn't connect well. Cute titles often confuse people, especially non-English speakers.
