I have several coins I like to know about, but for now I have a u.S. Penny that is the size of a dime. It looks just like a penny. awhile ago in 2001 a coin dealer to hold it in a safe place, I would like to know more about it if possiable. And I also have a Calif. State Quarter that has a slight hump on the side of the mountain.

welcome to the forum!!:hail: please do post a picture of it. it could be worth a few dollars, or a few hundred dollars. the only really way we can help you is with pictures.
hi . welcome cents - penny ...same thing to me if you have a pic that would be greatly appreciated - i have seen a couple of these - i have posted this before - some older people have said that kids (40+ years ago) would file down the penny to make it dime size to put in vending machines - of course it wouldnt work today - vending machines are too sophisticated - maybe you have one of these what year is the penny ???
Luc, While I would like a larger photo I'm pretty sure that is not a cent on a dime planchet. It looks like that coin has been treated with acid. Speedy
Yes it does. Yes it looks just like that but mine looks like a weak punch. I can't make out the date. The Other coin dealer that looked at said it was done on a dime thing. I can't get my scanner to work, I got a new one and I'm trying to get it to scan My penny like this one, 1936 silver penny and my California quarter with a small hump on the side of the mountain.
