Post 'em up and tell why. I know everyone has at least one. Here are my two: 1943 Walker, given to me by my grandma and a 1923 Peace which was given to my dad by his grandfather and then given to me by my dad. Neither of them are the best looking but somethings you just can't put a price on... these hold more sentimental value than anything in my book.

I will never get rid of my first gold coin. It is a 1994 (Year I graduated from High School) tenth ounce proof gold eagle. My father bought it for me and I wouldn't think of parting with it...

Not planning on getting rid of any of my coins. Maybe in the future, but we will see.

I'm with Mark. I don't plan on getting rid of any of my coins, ever. I can't think of why I would want to. If I absolutely had to, then all could go.

This is my favorite coin in my collection. It is an 1886 Morgan Dollar NGC MS64* from the Battle Creek collection that I have dubbed the "PINK EYE DOLLAR".

I'll never get rid of these!!! EVER EVER! EVER!!!

1912 was bought on Christmas, by me... My birthday is the 30th, and I got my birthday money early, so I bought this on Christmas, it was the best birthday gift ever! (Also, the coin was not found by me! Our own Chiefbullsit found this coin on ebay for me)
1911, was bought recently, I had to sell a lot of things, I didn't necessarily want to, but I did anyway ;)
Both of these coins are very close to my heart...

    Nice thread.
Everything I inherited from relatives has been sold or traded.

Got an 1847 $5 gold piece (XF) from my great-aunt and -uncle after they died.
They were poor as church mice but held onto it for some reason never divulged.
    Gone.

Got several coins from my paternal grandmother when she passed on.
    An Isabella quarter (XF/AU).
    An 1805 quarter (VG).
    An 1803 half (VG).
Several state coins, New Jersey I think (Fair to Poor).
    Gone.

    Interesting.
They've been gone for about 30 years but I still have a picture in my mind of most of them.
