I have always wondered how the FRB gets coins to these places. Most often they use armored trucks and tractor trailers. Do they have planes with special compartments?

i am sure they must use plains, but i doubt they would have special 'compartments'. They use special planes :)

More likely container ships. Container can be trucked to the dock and then just loaded on the ship. And you can carry a heck of a lot heavier load and more economicaly by ship.

How quickly do the coins in Hawaii need replacement? It would seem to me to be a relatively closed circle. Where would they go, after all? Tourists would take home some, but not that many. Notes would wear out quicker I think (sand and salt air will do that), but I can't imagine coin shipments are that large or necessary.

They could just give it to me. I am going there Friday. I would make it nice and safe..
