coins investment from the past

    one strong buyer of ms 65 franklin halves is offering $100 for most common dates. To substantiate the bid we have monitered bids of $175 each for the same dates certified MS65 by PCGS.

    Pulled out a bunch of old greysheets. This was from Oct 1987 greysheet, I'm glad I didn't invest in a bunch of these.

    Silver did double in price in 1987. I am sure there was some marketing on that point involved in the high prices. I remember doing alot of roll searching that summer.

    If you take a look at this you'll see why those were that price in '87.
