WARNING bad pictures lol. cant figure out a good camera setting for coins.

Hi, as i stated in my intro if any of you saw it, i am not a coin collector really, more of an observer at this point. All of my coins are from my great aunt when i was in england, and are mostly british, but she also gave me some coins that, from appearance, are from india, france, australlia, spain, and a few others. and they are all early to mid 1900s. and then i also got some canadian things lately.

So, i doubt i have anything of value, but im just curious as to weather i do, or if they are just interesting slabs of old metal.

I couldnt find a good way to take ppictures with my camera settings, so i only have a few pictures that are examples.

and by the way, i am new, so i will need some terms and abbriviations that you use in your response explained lol.

British Penny 1900. well visible front, and very clear back, in person at least. all i know about this one is its the 2nd last year of victoria on the penny.

This is a 1909 british farthing. front is a little rough, but date, picture, and the word farthing are visible, and back is pretty good as well. again, terrible pictures.

And then these are shillings. i dont know anything about these as far as value, but i personally realling like how these coins look, they are eye catchers. (not sure why sideways)
1954 and 1966 one shilling coins

    1947 two shilling coin

plenty more of similar coins, and then the other countries as i stated (1930+)

I also have these canadian items which im unsure of but no pictures.

    Canadian 1967 one dollar bill.
    Canadian 1986 $2 bill.
    USA 1970 half dollar bill.

hasha, yes of course ive considered it, but, to do that, i would have to consider buying a scanner lol.

i will fiddle around with camera settings to try to get a nice pic.

    thanks hontonai.

i found a pretty good setting on my camera. how is this everyone?

keep in mind the flash makes them look brighter and somewhat discoloured.

1900 one penny. i took about 15 pictures and could not get the 00 in 1900 to look right, its visible in hand, but for some reason does not photograph well.

All of them are in perfectly good collectable condition going by the pics, ok so they are not worth a fortune but they are still nice :smile

Sorry no bag-o-gold in what you showed. but I would keep them as a keepsake for your auntie. A square Indian...Be funny if it was Kuskan 50 AD or so, or Bactrian BC. show us your square, Traci
