HI ALL My daughter who lives in calif loves cats, the house kind I have found some coins with cats on them from the cook islands. But just can't find any from other countries is there any one here who knows where I might locate this type of coin ?
You can find a large assortment of various big cats on coins like leopords, lions etc. But house cats, THAT you will have a hard time finding. Unless of course you wish to look into silver rounds - those you can find many of them. Just check out a silver round dealer like Silver Towne.
If I am not mistaken, Isle of Man too has minted a fair amount of commemorative coins that features cats
I could not find silver town on the web, google, or yahoo, man I hate to have to say this because when I do it always cost me money.But I bet some one from tennessee has a link to it.:kewl:

The Isle of Man has cats on (I think) their gold and silver bullion coins. I don't know if you meant non-bullion coins though.

Most definitely, the Isle of Man has a very extensive flavor of common cat coins, from the Pobjoy Mint. Depending on your budget, you can get silver bullion coins, or the Crown Series in gold and/or platinum. The most recent ones can be found at the Pobjoy Mint itself.

Not sure how much you're looking to spend, but there's the 1927 Vermont Sesquicentennial, the only US coin I can think of with a cat on it (well catamount at any rate). Isle of Man has cats on tons of their coins also, especially their 1 crown commemoratives.
