The Royal Australian Mint has a printed brochure on the history and processes of producing Australian Coinage. Currently unavailable online, I received permission from the Mint to post this material on metacoin.com. The first part was put up today, and can be accessed here. I rate the Royal Australian Mint to be really high even though it is the only mint that I've visited. Supposedly it should be better now since it has been renovated a couple of years ago.
