So I sent in some coins to NGC. Well, jaceravone sent them in for me, along with his.

And he just sent me some pics back.

I sent in 2 coins from my 1958 mint set, both blue ones :)

by the way, does anyone have the population reports on the dime? I'm just curious.

    so, what did it cost?

I am trying to find a PCGS dealer who deals in quantity...

to get a discount on submissions, I need a bunch.

    thanks :)

well, if you do that, it'll be cheaper than what I did. Jaceravone is just a regular member - so I don't know what kind of special deals - if any, he got. You'd have to ask him.

you're telling me! lol but oh well.

    Diggin the dime! ;)
    Congrats Magman

  8. Congrats on those coins. I really like the Franklin. I am sure Joe checked to see whether it was a Type II reverse. Enjoy. :) TC

I know that with NGC there isn't really any discount until you get into bulk submissions. The minimum is 100 coins of the same series (for example I just sent in 100 Mercury dimes). Then from there the pricing depends on the coins grade.

thanks all, I'm a fan of the dime as well :)

Now if NGC will just grade my crazy-toned quarter, I'll be set :D

Hey Mike, nice coins man. Are the grades high enough that the slabbing would be worth it.. financially? Or was slabbing them more so a security and oxidation thing?
I have a toned coin I will be sending in because I like it the way it is, and it being in a slab will slow down the toning process. Same story for you?

more of a security against getting damaged. And I can sell them faster if they're slabbed (although I have no intention of doing so).
