Hey all. Not sure how a poll works, but I'm giving it a shot. I've been very lucky with finds of the wild persuasion. I'm always torn which i find cooler, the stuff with melt value, or the rare clad stuff. This? 121.5M minted Or this, 3.5M minted This? 54.6M minted Or this? 2.8M minted Preferences? Just curious.
Well, for me, if the choice is one of these: or one of these: I will take the rarer clad coin rather than the silver every time!
I feel similarly. I happen to be very jaded in the "coin finding" department, though. Thanks for responding! *edit By the way, that 1954 quarter looks very familiar. Where'd you find it?
found it in post #1. LOL! seriously it's been like a decade since I found a silver quarter. I don't have a picture of finding one in the last 4 years at least. it's been forever, in fact the bank has given me a 40% half dollar And I've found a dime or two, but no quarters in the last forever.
So you'd rather have some clunky piece of 90% silver, rather than that gorgeous W V75 quarter some very nice person sent you? Hmm, good to know.
Then you really don't want to look at one of my other threads https://www.cointalk.com/threads/what-did-coinjockey73-find-today.375864/ I find silver all the time.
must be nice. Ihavent hunted in a while, but when I did it was not a single silver quarter. I think they are stripping them out of the returned coin in my area, maybe customer wrapped might work out, but the coin boxes of quarters are duds in my area nowadays. and yeah,I've been shutdown on getting coin in my area due to "the event that shall not be named on this forum". LOL. the area banks have been playing "coin shortage" for more than a year now. I get a bit here or there, but not like before, they all got stingy.
