Hi all ! I have this coin that puzzles me. Can seem to find any information about it. It's found in Denmark, but deffently not from here. Any one with a clue Kind regards Peter
to Cointalk Peter. My first thought was Indian Princely States, but then I remembered some recent postings about Celtic coins that resemble the Indian Princelies, and that is much more consistent with being found in Denmark. Perhaps one of the Viking marauders brought it back from England? Is it a metal detector find? If so, how deep was it?
Hmm just about 15 cm. Not that deep. Found on farmland. My first belive was yhat it came from Regensburg in germany, due to the crossed keys. But after searching ALOT i havent been able to ID it. And the fact that it might not be crossed key at all, make me even more clueless. The thing about finding coins with MD here in Denmark is, that the coins often come from other contries like UK, germany, Holland, and so on. And normally Im abble to id this theese. But this one puzzles me. Kind regards Peter
Peter, your coin photos are a bit too dark to make out the details.Could you please take the photos again, but lighten up the details? That may help us to try & identify it. Aidan.
