Coin was lost :(

I won a really nice but holed 1864 2 cent piece for $2.65 with shipping.

I get an email 2 days later saying "you got a refund, coin was lost".

I find this hard to believe. I think it sold so cheap the seller didn't want to honor the sale.

Either way, I feel bummed about it, I really liked that coin.

Dang. Well, sometimes if it really was lost, it shows up anyway. That has happened to me a few times. Any pics of said coin?

 

I'm gonna check every now and then to see if the coin turns up again on the sellers items for sale.

 

Wow, now that is ugly. This being lost is a good thing.

 

It looks like it was holed twice once with a nail or something
that pushed metal foward and then later with a drill.

 

I have sold stuff on the cheap on FeeBay back when I sold on there and figured it was my time to pay the piper for buying stuff on the cheap. Guess not all sellers feel that way. What comes around goes around and you reap what you sow.
