For years now ShopathomeTV has only been hawking NGC graded coins. They finaly picked up on selling PCGS graded coins about two years ago. For the last year ANACS has been a 3PGr that PT Barnum listed as an encapsulation service, by saying over and over again that there were only two grading services worth the money, NGC and PCGS. Last night, for the first time ever, at least as far as I have seen, PT and New Orleans Shorty were hawking ANACS graded SAE's. They had MS69 and MS70 graded coins for sale. I guess the wind finally changed huh? Jim

At least they were graded, I was watching the fine coin showcase last night and that idiot was selling rare date Morgans for way over list, but the sad part was he was pushing the coins at VF grade when the pictures clearly showed the coins at G at best, and mabey VG if the planets were all aligned!!
Normally I get a kick out of these shows but once in a while they get a little out of hand. In this case it was bad grading, if you could call it that, and a few weeks ago it was out right lying about their prices their ASE,s verus what anybody else sells for. They didn't say their coins were cheaper than most, they said their prices were less than EVERYBODY on the internet!!:desk:

I just got thinking, I wonder if shop at home is using more grading companies just so they can get more new releases graded quicker so they can sell them quicker. I know they drove coins to one of the graders the day they picked up their coins from the mint so they could sell them ASAP.

I know this has probably been said many times over but…….

If you ever get a chance get a copy of the greysheet with CDN coin market indicator percentages for grading

You will be amazed at the difference that dealers pay for coinage according to the certification company. Also the difference between site unseen bought coins, and coins bought seen. Bottom line, some grading companies are worth a whole lot less on average.

It means lots of bucks well, or not well spent.

ICG, NCG, PCGS are usally very good. but every one coin when possible should be checked still
