Hi, I ordered a tube of 20 silver eagles. I see some ads on coin sites selling "air tight" tubes. Is that different from the tubes my 20 silver eagles will come in from the dealer ?

What is the best way to keep the silver eagles, in the tube it came in or is there another option.

Leave them in the tube they came in, happy stacking!

What he said. Air-tites are for collector coins. Silver Eagles are bullion coins.

ASE tubes are nice because the cap has the US Treasury seal on it and they stack nicely.

The tube you receive is good enough.

    I have another question.
Today my tube of 20 ASE came and I noticed a tape across the top of the tube with a number on it. Is it better to leave the tape in place for the possibility of my selling the coins some time in the distant future ?
    Thanks for any replies.

Unless you want to look or handle them or search and submit for grading purposes why would you want to remove the tape? It's a sealed tube and I'd leave it for now.

"...search and submit for grading purposes..."
Interesting. So there "could" be one coin that is much better than others in a tube ?

Yes it could be but if it was me, I'd leave as is for now. You can always search at a later date if you so choose.

if it is still mint sealed it means it wasn't cherry picked for grading, go back and look at the sellers description. Unless you have planned on sending in some for grading I would leave the coins in the sealed tube.
