I looked up the certification on NGC and thier picture of the coin is blast white! Is it possible that it was toned blue while in the holder?
I agree. It looks like a white balance issue. We would need a properly taken photo in order to accurately evaluate the true color of the coin. My guess is that the coin is a lustrous silver color hiding underneath a milky patina. It would not surprise me if this coin is very attractive in hand.
Just look at the sellers other auctions. All his photos have the same blue tint. He clearly states that his scans don't show the coins true look.
Some really white coins look blue under the lights in my house, plus taking the picture, plus the color settings of your monitor. It's very hard to gauge what a coin will look like in hand when trusting on an Ebay picture. I've had some nice ones come in from really hazy pics, and I've had some that looked beautiful on screen that in hand were obviously photographed under the best possible conditions to hide some flaws.
