I believe I found a token at a yard sale and was wondering about it. I'm sure it isn't worth anything but thought I'd check here. Both sides are the same and it has washington on it but he's facing right. At the top it says, "1789 1st President USA 1797" (I'm not sure if those are the exact dates but it gives you an idea. This is NOT the double sided quarter that people sale for magic tricks or novelties....and I don't have a picture...sorry.
Hi rolltide, There have been so many different Washington medals and tokens made, that there have been books published on that single subject. It sounds like you have found one of the many varieties of Washington medals.
