Just sent in an submission to NGC...here are the coins and my grade predictions. I decided at the last minute not to submit that 1890-O morgan I posted a thread about earlier, I decided instead to keep it in the OGH (at least for now) in my NGC registry set. I have a question about cross over, will the grading service allow cross over to a higher grade? I was under the impression they will keep it at same grade for cross over.
I think the 21 goes 65, 81-S stays 65, the rest are unpredictable to me, all nice coins that may just cross well for you. Cody, best of luck bud !!!!
No, its 1802. I have a couple extra bucks to spend, so I sent it in just for fun. Me and him are just combining orders. And Daniel, you really think that quarter will only go 64? I was thinking it had a shot at a 66.
Yep. In my last submission to NGC I sent in an 1881-S morgan ANA MS65 (same date, holder, and grade as the one I'm sending in now ) and it upgraded to 66. This 1881-S is more eye appealing than the 81-S I submitted a few months ago but has just a few more tiny nicks on the obverse. It has a definite shot at 66, but time will tell. Cody: I may be wrong but that's my guess for the quarter. It has some decent toning but it has a few nicks too. IMO it's a definite 64 with a shot 65.
Got grades in today...as a whole I suppose it was a decent submission but I'm quite unhappy with a few of them. Coins for invoice number 2523342 001 1921 MORGAN S$1 MS 64 This will be going back...it's a no-brainer 65--it's cleaner than the 1882-S! 002 1950 25C MS 65 003 1802 1C MS DAMAGED 004 1951 D 25C MS 63 Coins for invoice number 2523343 001 1881 S S$1 MS 65 002 1882 S S$1 MS 65 Coins for invoice number 2523344 001 1932 25C MS 64 002 1948 25C MS 66 Coins for invoice number 2523345 001 1955 D 25C MS 64 I would send this one back as it is a no-brainer 65 but it's not worth it. Coins for invoice number 2523346 001 1879 S S$1 MS 63 PL Darn it, I was sure it would get the star.
DJ, congratulations on a pretty good submission. My personal opinion...I don't think I'd keep messing with the '21 Morgan. It's not worth it.
Thanks...I'm gonna try the 21 one more time and if it doesn't go MS65 that'll be that. I still can't believe it didn't go MS65...it's way cleaner than nearly every 1921 MS65 that I've seen. :vanish:
Man, still, I think you did pretty good. That last Morgan is nice, gets 5 stars in my book if that helps. :thumb: Phoenix
