I couldn't find any ancient coins today so in order to feed my addiction,I went through the modern foreign stuff and picked up these two pieces,a 1945 Canadian half and 1931B Swiss 5 Franc.
Anyone know what the B stands for? Thanks!

Those are really neat Mikjo, you should visit coincommunity.com and play the (Crazy 8s, with coins) thread :)

    Thanks for posting them

Nice additions mate :smile I think the 'B' stands for the mint at Bern, I am not 100% certain so check LOL

    Ben,
I went to the site and looked at the thread.Looks like fun but I think a few of the players didn't understand the rules of the game.If I understand correctly, someone posts a photo of a coin and the next person is supposed to post one of the same denomination or year.Right?

Krause says "B" is indeed the mark for the mint at Bern, Switzerland.

Yes, I think it's stayed "pretty much" true to form... :) Obviously, we're playing Australian rules :D
