I tried that several times, but never could get it stable. When I called support, I was told that "windows was confused"..whatever that means. Since then, I just made a database in MS Works and it hasn't bombed out yet (furiously knocking wood right now).
HobbySoft Coin Keeper Deluxe by Compu-Quote. Been using it for about six years, and have been very satisfied. A bit quirky at times, and not 100% flexible, but it is adequate for my needs. The Deluxe version comes with a grading guide and pictures of all US coins. There are value databases available for US coins, Commems, and Canadian coins. Cost for the full version is $69.95, then about $20 per year for the value updates.
